About Moonridge
A practice built around the understanding that inheritance matters call for precision, patience, and genuine care for the families involved.

Founded on the belief that families deserve clarity
Moonridge was established in Kuala Lumpur with a straightforward conviction: the legal process of administering a loved one's estate should not add further burden to an already difficult period. Too often, families find themselves navigating a dense thicket of legal requirements, court procedures, and competing claims without adequate guidance.
The practice was founded by legal professionals who saw, firsthand, how much difference a clear and methodical approach could make. Rather than treating estate administration as a formulaic process, Moonridge approaches each matter as a distinct family situation — with its own dynamics, its own documents, and its own people who deserve to be heard.
Since opening our doors at Jalan Sultan Ismail, we have assisted families across the Klang Valley in settling estates of varying complexity — from straightforward grants of probate to intricate multi-asset administrations involving overseas beneficiaries. In each case, the commitment is the same: work carefully, communicate clearly, and respect the weight of what families are going through.
Our Mission
To make inheritance law accessible, transparent, and manageable for Malaysian families — reducing the stress of estate administration through competent, attentive legal work.
Our Approach
We work methodically and communicate at every stage. Clients receive regular updates, clear explanations of legal requirements, and honest timelines — not just documentation when matters are concluded.
Our Values
Discretion, accuracy, and responsiveness. We believe families should feel supported — not processed — throughout estate administration, regardless of the size or complexity of the matter.

Our Expertise
Inheritance law in the Malaysian context
Estate administration in Malaysia is shaped by the Probate and Administration Act 1959, the Distribution Act 1958, the Small Estates (Distribution) Act 1955, and — in matters involving Muslims — the relevant Islamic inheritance law framework. The interplay between these instruments, and the practical steps required within each, demands working knowledge built over time rather than theoretical familiarity alone.
Moonridge's work concentrates on civil probate matters in the Kuala Lumpur High Court, with experience across a range of estate types: residential and commercial real property, company shares, unit trust holdings, EPF nominations, insurance nominations, and personal effects requiring valuation. We also advise executors and administrators on their duties and the personal liability that attaches to those roles.
Our client base includes executors managing multi-generational family estates, adult children seeking clarity on their inheritance rights, and professional trustees administering testamentary trusts. Each engagement begins with a thorough discussion of the estate's composition and the family's objectives — because the legal path that is appropriate depends heavily on both.
